St. Michael the Archangel and Pembroke Hill are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Guardians will take on the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
St. Michael the Archangel is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Father Tolton just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Father Tolton, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Guardians have suffered since March 26th.

Colston Lyon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Mark Wiemann also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, Pembroke Hill waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Pierce Jaffe looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Pembroke Hill got a massive performance out of Eli Sitzer, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Miles Washington, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Pembroke Hill's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
St. Michael the Archangel skirted past Pembroke Hill 4-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Guardians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
