Gananda Central and Williamson are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Blue Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Marauders at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Gananda Central will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Gananda Central's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Monday, when they got past Sodus' usually-dominant pitching crew. The Blue Panthers put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 10-2 victory. Considering the Blue Panthers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Will Schneemann made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Peter Jacob was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Owen Switzer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Williamson fell victim to East Rochester and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Bombers, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Marauders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Gananda Central's record is now 10-2. As for Williamson, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Gananda Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Williamson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Gananda Central's way against Williamson in their previous meeting back in April, as Gananda Central made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
