Dumont hasn't had much luck against Ramsey recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 4:15 p.m.
Dumont made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ridgefield Park, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Huskies fell just short of the Scarlets by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 30, 2024, but that streak is no more.
Dumont saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jarrett Carramusa, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ramsey, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Westwood 9-2 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rams have posted against the Cardinals since May 4, 2022.
Patrick Connell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Connor McNally was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Ramsey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Ramsey pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Dumont, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.
Dumont's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Huskies have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ramsey, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Dumont continue to outrun the ball?
Dumont suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Ramsey when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Huskies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
