Even though the Bethesda Christian Patriots have not done well against the Covenant Christian Warriors recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bethesda Christian took down Covenant Christian 56-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bethesda Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Bethesda Christian was led to victory by Kenzie Fulks and Sydney Goodin. Fulks scored 23 points along with seven assists and seven steals, while Goodin scored 25 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Goodin has scored all season. Jayla Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Bethesda Christian has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Covenant Christian, they dropped their record down to 8-16 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Bethesda Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Indiana School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Indiana School for the Deaf is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Covenant Christian, they will square off against University at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
