Leigha Race was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
