After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wiregrass Ranch, the Taylor County Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Bell 74-27 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Taylor County has managed all season.
Taylor County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jakari Jackson out in front who scored seven points along with ten assists and seven steals. Those ten assists set a new season-high mark for him. Cecil Gant was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Taylor County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Bell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Taylor County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (North Florida Christian is ranked 384th, while Taylor County is ranked 367th). Bell is on the road again on Thursday and play against Cedar Key at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Cedar Key is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
