The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 66-31 win over South Charlotte T on the road. The win was just what Legion Collegiate Academy needed coming off of a 51-31 defeat in their prior matchup.
Leading Legion Collegiate Academy to victory were Jaylen McMurray and Amelia Williams. McMurray almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Williams dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. McMurray has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Garvin, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, South Charlotte T saw an underclassman step up: Ryleigh Graves dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Graves continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Caroline Gidney was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Legion Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for South Charlotte T, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.
Legion Collegiate Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-57 defeat vs. United Faith Christian Academy on the 8th. South Charlotte T has also already played their next matchup, a 74-20 defeat against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 9th.
