Salisbury has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Gunston School Herons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salisbury comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Salisbury had to suffer through a rough 45-9 loss at the hands of Indian River. Salisbury was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-4.
Allie Collins was Salisbury's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Hayleigh Galeone held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds. Galeone took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with a assist.
Meanwhile, The Gunston School's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-24 victory over Worcester Prep. The win was just what The Gunston School needed coming off of a 67-31 defeat in their prior matchup.
Salisbury's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.3 points per game. As for The Gunston School, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Salisbury couldn't quite finish off The Gunston School when the teams last played back in January and fell 30-27. Thankfully for Salisbury, Julia McClary (who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
