Taylor got themselves on the board against Lafayette County on Tuesday, but Lafayette County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Taylor's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lafayette County, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will square off against Junction City at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lafayette County, they will venture away from home to take on Columbia Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.89 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
