Williamsburg Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Pee Dee Academy and snuck past 51-48. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Williamsburg Academy has scored all season.
Corey Burts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Conrad Balder, who scored ten points.
Williamsburg Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Pee Dee Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.
Williamsburg Academy will take on Carolina Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pee Dee Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cathedral Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
