The King Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 49-29 defeat at the hands of Oconee Christian Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to King Academy of the 42-35 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oconee Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Duncan, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Daniel Frick was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
King Academy dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Oconee Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.
King Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oconee Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Cambridge Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
