Alexandria came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cherokee County Warriors by a score of  36-28. This was payback for the Valley Cubs, who suffered  a  35-7  loss the last time these two teams met.
Alexandria found their leader in sophomore  Monqre Morris Jr (Mj), who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Alexandria didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Morris Jr (Mj) and  Jj Beason.
 When it comes to explaining why Cherokee County lost, don't look at  Keyshawn Woods. Despite the final result, he rushed for 196 yards and two  TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Woods' rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 120  rushing yards.
Alexandria's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Cherokee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
