Machaon Puga Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Saturday, Prospect Ridge Academy got the W thanks in part to Machaon Puga playing the best football he has all season. Puga picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 130 yards. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards.
Puga and Prospect Ridge Academy will face off against Denver Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Puga up against the Thunder's star RB Diego Pellegrini. Will the matchup be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.

Dante Vigil and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Dante Vigil was instrumental in extending Forge Christian's winning streak to seven on Friday. Vigil did his part (and then some), making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss) for the 'W'.
Forge Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Vigil and Forge Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Platte Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Carter Hogsett's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
On Saturday, Platte Canyon had to settle for second even though Carter Hogsett put up the best numbers he has all season. Hogsett rushed for 234 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
This year, Hogsett has averaged 17.5 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.83 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 72.5 rushing yards.

Forge Christian Gets a Boost from Strange in 42-0 Victory
Forge Christian picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Sullivan Strange. Strange was unstoppable, throwing for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes.
On the season, Strange has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 163 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 22.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 49.71 rushing yards.

Forge Christian Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Euli Tafoya
Euli Tafoya's big game helped extend Forge Christian's winning streak to seven on Friday. Tafoya was unstoppable, rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
On the year, Tafoya has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 92.6 rushing yards per game.
