The Jefferson Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Flat Rock. If Jefferson hoped to take revenge for the 52-26 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Flat Rock was led to victory by Madleen Hussein and Addi Kopp. Hussein scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals, while Kopp scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Hussein has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Williams, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Jefferson's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Flat Rock, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Jefferson will head out on the road to face off against Milan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Milan is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Flat Rock, they will be playing at home against Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
