Erik New Dazzles in Maxwell Victory
Starting off the list is Maxwell's Erik New, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. New rushed for 161 yards on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The win (which was Maxwell's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. New and Maxwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Fall River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Los Molinos had to settle for second on Friday, but Wyatt Gillett sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Gillett as he made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
On the year, Gillett has averaged 11.5 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after ten games last season, he was only averaging 8.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 87.4 rushing yards.

Skyler Long posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He picked up a sack and made a tackle. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making a tackle.
With the loss, Biggs broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3. Long and Biggs will look to defend their home field on Friday against Weed at 7:00 p.m.

Harrison Hamre Turns in Another Game with at Least 111 Rushing Yards
Harrison Hamre's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 12th-straight game with 111+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 169 yards.
Hamre might have his next game, a home matchup with Modoc, circled on his calendar. When Hamre last faced the Braves back in September of 2023, he rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Rounding off our Top Five is Jake Thackeray of Quincy. Thackeray picked up 121 receiving yards, and also punched in a rushing score.
