On Saturday North Park will take on Arickaree/Woodlin at 1:00 PM. North Park aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.
North Park were able to grind out a solid victory over Briggsdale last Saturday, winning 52-39. Among those leading the charge for North Park was senior Bryce Carlstrom, who rushed for 329 yards and 7 touchdowns. This marked the 5th match in which Carlstrom has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their game two weeks ago against Stratton/Liberty, Arickaree/Woodlin were happy to find some success last Friday. Arickaree/Woodlin had enough points to win and then some against Otis, taking their game 66-50. Yes, you read that final score correctly. Yes, this was football.
Their wins bumped Arickaree/Woodlin to 5-2 and North Park to 3-4. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
