Novi had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Canton on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Cobras with a sharp 3-0 victory. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Novi walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-14.

Alli Villanueva paced Novi's offense, picking up eight kills. Villanueva got some help from Nellie Alves and her 12 assists. Alves was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Novi now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Canton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
