Brooklyn Haug spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Kristina Deal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Ava Goodman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Mira Mesa pushed their record up to 6-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for West Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-1.
Mira Mesa took their victory against West Hills when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Marauders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
