The Parma Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Melba Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parma is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.
While Parma's win against New Plymouth wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pilgrims 3-1.

Wesli Crockett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Parma saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Melba came into Monday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Vision 15-1 on Monday.
Kali Adams and Dickard Abi made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Adams struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Abi tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Adams got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Abi went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Melba got a massive performance out of Analyse Durham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kodi Adams, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Melba was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vision only posted a batting average of .118.
Parma's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Melba, their record is now 5-10.
Melba's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parma has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Melba, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Parma's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Parma took their win against Melba in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
