The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.1 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Thursday. They blew past Denver Jewish Day 72-37 at home. Bishop Machebeuf has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.
Miles Edgar-Parchman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kibre Sibhat, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Loss or not, Denver Jewish Day got some senior leadership from Aaron Daniel and Keenan Winnerman. Daniel almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds, while Winnerman. scored 13 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Daniel pulled down eight or more rebounds. Solly Bielsky was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Bishop Machebeuf pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Denver Jewish Day, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Machebeuf's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Denver Jewish Day will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Denver Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Tigers are ranked 86th).
