St. Dominic hasn't had much luck against Timberland recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The St. Dominic Crusaders will look to defend their home field  against the Timberland T-Wolves  at 4:15  p.m. St. Dominic will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak  alive.
 St. Dominic is probably headed into the  contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Francis Borgia just ended the team's  eight-game winning streak  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of  4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Crusaders have suffered  since September 13th.
  Kelsey Kunz was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   eight  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in September of 2023. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and a  run.
 Even though they lost, St. Dominic  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with six  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Francis Borgia didn't  tossed any.
 Meanwhile, Timberland won against Fort Zumwalt North  on Wednesday with eight  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. Timberland skirted past Fort Zumwalt East  8-6. The  win was nothing new for the T-Wolves as they're now sitting on three straight.
 St. Dominic's defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-5. As for Timberland, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-1.
 St. Dominic suffered a grim  8-1 defeat to Timberland  in their previous meeting  back in August of 2023. Can St. Dominic avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
