While it was North Pole who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was Monroe Catholic who put up more. The Patriots fell just short of the Rams by a score of 15-14. On the bright side, the 14- run performance marked the Patriots' highest-scoring matchup to date.

North Pole got a massive performance out of Channing Carlin, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was Carlin's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Stephen J Langer, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

North Pole's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Monroe Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. North Pole will square off against Hutchison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe Catholic, they will take on Delta at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
