Gregori is 9-1 against Beyer since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jaguars will host the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Gregori's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Pitman. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly 11 runs.
Kaliyah Mauia was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Hoffman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Gregori lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Beyer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-2 win.
Jordyn Lish made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Chelsee Toon was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Kimoto, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
Gregori has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for Beyer, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Gregori hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .423. However, it's not like Beyer struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Gregori came out on top in a nail-biter against Beyer in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
