Basketball Recap: Southwest Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Randolph came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Southwest, but Paris Alaquinez wouldn't allow it. The Southwest Dragons secured a 45-41 W over the Randolph Ro-Hawks on Saturday thanks in part to Alaquinez, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Southwest is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Randolph, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Southwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-51 win against Lutheran on the 28th. As for Randolph, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-26 victory against Blanco on the 28th.
