New Berlin Eisenhower is a perfect 3-0 against Brookfield Central since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will challenge the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. New Berlin Eisenhower will be strutting in after a win while Brookfield Central will be coming in after a defeat.
New Berlin Eisenhower gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Greendale as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Jazmine Karls spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mya Ender and Lexi Mainville did most of the damage at the plate: Ender went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Mainville went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Mainville continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Beal, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: New Berlin Eisenhower kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Brookfield Central's offense. They fell 4-0 to Hamilton on Friday. The Lancers have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
New Berlin Eisenhower has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brookfield Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. New Berlin Eisenhower has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. However, it's not like Brookfield Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
New Berlin Eisenhower took their victory against Brookfield Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
