West Liberty had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-32 walloping at West Branch hands. If West Liberty were expecting payback for the 20-35 loss against West Branch the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting West Liberty off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving West Branch a 1-0 record.
Next week, West Liberty take on Solon at 7:00 PM. As for West Branch, they will face of against Wapello.
