It was a good run, but  the Neuse Charter Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough  56-26 loss at the hands of North Duplin. Neuse Charter has struggled against North Duplin recently, as their  game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
  Chloe Kozloff and  Cayley Cochran certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss.  Kozloff  scored eight points along with five  steals, while  Cochran  scored ten points along with five  rebounds and two  steals. Kozloff has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last eight times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Layla Johnson, who  scored  no points along with four  steals.
 Neuse Charter's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for North Duplin, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neuse Charter will  challenge Hobbton at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hobbton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last nine games, a trend the  squad is of course eager to reverse. As for North Duplin, they will head out on the road to  take on  Lakewood at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lakewood will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while North Duplin is ranked 197th).
