James Washington made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with six stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Rhymes Chess and Raheem McClenton did most of the damage at the plate: Chess got on base in two of his three plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs, while McClenton went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
