Softball Recap: Sodus Has No Trouble Against North Rose-Wolcott

Sodus had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-3 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars. Considering the Spartans have won four games by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for North Rose-Wolcott, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

For North Rose-Wolcott's part, Emily Nevlezer was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sodus will welcome Whitman at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Rose-Wolcott, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gananda Central at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
