The Franklin County Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Elbert County Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Last Friday, Franklin County kept a clean sheet against Rabun County. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that Franklin County has won by exactly two goals.
Meanwhile, Elbert County got the win against Hart County on Friday by a conclusive 9-1. Nine seems to be a good number for Elbert County as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Franklin County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Elbert County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Franklin County took their victory against Elbert County when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin County since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
