Brewer had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the McKinney North Bulldogs by a score of 54-45. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 624th).

Brewer's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelon Orr, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why McKinney North lost, don't look at Preston Spolar. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Jon Everett, who scored eight points.

Brewer's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for McKinney North, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Brewer has already played their next game, a 58-51 victory against Saginaw on the 6th. As for McKinney North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-58 win against Lovejoy on the 6th.
