The Kemper Academy Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 55-27 loss at the hands of Sylva Bay Academy. Kemper Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.
Leading Sylva Bay Academy to victory were Tristen Rogers and Brody Boyd. Rogers scored ten points along with four steals, while Boyd scored 15 points along with four steals. Rogers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Dalton Blakeney was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Kemper Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sylva Bay Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kemper Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hebron Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Sylva Bay Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Laurel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
