The North Eugene Highlanders stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Churchill for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-41 win on the road. The victory was familiar territory for North Eugene who now have six in a row.
North Eugene got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamani Winger out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Jonas Spencer, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
North Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Churchill, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Eugene will take on Thurston at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Thurston is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Churchill, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Springfield is ranked 177th, while Churchill is ranked 188th).
