Softball Recap: Winters Mill Comes Up Short

Winters Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Liberty Lions. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Winters Mill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashleigh Sharp, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Winters Mill now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Liberty, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0-1.

Coincidentally, Winters Mill and Liberty will both be playing South Carroll the next time they take the field. Winters Mill will host South Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Liberty will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
