The Webber Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 60-46 fall against Farina South Central. Webber was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Farina South Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Webber's loss came despite strong showings from Allie Smith and Chloe King. Smith scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds, while King dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. King scored a full 30.4% of Webber's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Forestall, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
Webber's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Farina South Central, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Webber will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christopher at 6:15 p.m. on December 11th. As for Farina South Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Neoga at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Neoga's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
