This season hasn't been kind to the Covenant Knights, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were outmatched by Dallas Christian at home and fell 65-11. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Covenant has scored all season.
Leading Dallas Christian to victory were Jackie Schlegel and Macie Perkins. Schlegel scored 14 points along with eight steals and six rebounds, while Perkins dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Perkins scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Leeza Dayian, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Covenant's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.1 points per game. As for Dallas Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.
Coincidentally, Covenant and Dallas Christian will both be playing Brook Hill the next time they take the court. Dallas Christian will head out to face Brook Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Covenant will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
