The St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans fought the good fight in their overtime game against the St. Andrew's Highlanders on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Highlanders 42-37. St. Stephen's Episcopal has not had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
St. Stephen's Episcopal's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donnica Armstrong, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Armstrong hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Lartigue, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
St. Stephen's Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for St. Andrew's, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-13.
St. Stephen's Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Andrew's also has no future games currently scheduled.
