Castle is 1-7 against Moanalua since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Castle Knights will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Moanalua Menehune at 7:00 p.m. Castle is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Castle lost to McKinley on the road by a decisive 56-38 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Castle has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Aukanai'i Arcala, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Keiden Uehara was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Moanalua scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Farrington on the road to the tune of 76-36. The win was just what Moanalua needed coming off of a 77-35 loss in their prior game.
Castle's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5. As for Moanalua, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
