Chinle has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ganado recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Chinle will head out to challenge Ganado at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Chinle's win against Tuba City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Chinle had just enough and edged out Tuba City 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Hage Tsosie made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Chinle is undefeated when Tsosie posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Duane Ayze was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackaden Arthur, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Ganado got the win against Monument Valley on Monday by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Andre Sam spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Ganado got a massive performance out of Dante Curtis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Joshua Mescal was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4.
Ganado has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. Chinle's record is now 6-7.
Everything went Chinle's way against Ganado when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Chinle made off with a 9-0 victory. Does Chinle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ganado turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
