The Talladega County Central Fighting Tigers lost against the Ragland Purple Devils back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Talladega County Central was beaten by Ragland 61-19. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Talladega County Central in their matchups with Ragland: they've now lost four in a row.
A'ron Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ragland, rushing for 112 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Lee is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Brett Sisson was in the mix too, providing Ragland with two touchdowns.
Ragland's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Sisson and his five sacks.
Talladega County Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ragland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Talladega County Central will challenge Wadley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wadley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Talladega County Central in Alabama (Wadley is ranked 175th, while Talladega County Central is ranked 406th). As for Ragland, they will head out on the road to face off against Spring Garden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Garden is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
