It was a good run, but Unity Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to the Montini Catholic Broncos 54-49.

Several Phoenix players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Vincent Allen, who posted 11 points. Donovan O'Neil Jr was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and six boards.

Unity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Montini Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Unity Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-52 victory against Taft on the 27th. Montini Catholic and Westmont will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
