Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Cole Trotter stepped things up a notch to give Aitkin the 'W'. Trotter went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for Aitkin: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Trotter and Aitkin will take on Rush City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gobblers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Tigers thanks in part to Trotter: he went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
