If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Union City. They will challenge Dickinson on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Union City is currently enjoying a three-game winning streak and is looking to extend their dominance.
Union City put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past North Bergen 49-7. Among those leading the charge for Union City was senior Jean Alvarez, who rushed for 128 yards and 5 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Alvarez's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past seven games.
Meanwhile, Dickinson came up short against Kearny, falling 22-33. Dickinson were down by 6-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Union City took the matchup and then some with a 52-0 win over Dickinson the last time the two teams met. Will Union City repeat their success, or does Dickinson have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
