Atkins fell to Dover 22-24 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Everything went Atkins's way against Dover on Friday as they made off with a 28-0 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Atkins had established a 28-0 advantage.
Senior Gage Rehm, who rushed for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success.
The victory bumped Atkins's record up to 2-0. The loss started Dover out at 0-1 for the season.
Next week, Atkins take on Magnet Cove at 7:00 PM. Dover will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Danville at SR. Night at 7:00 PM.
