Softball Recap: Garber Wins Going Away Against Lapeer

Garber got themselves on the board against Lapeer on Saturday, but Lapeer never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Lightning with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Dukes have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Garber is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lapeer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-21 record this season.

Garber didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-0 victory against Gladwin on the 17th. As for Lapeer, they will challenge Marlette at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
