Eastern has gone 8-2 against Tri-Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Comets will head out to take on the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Eastern lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lewis Cass, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Comets put the hurt on the Kings with a sharp 17-6 win on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on three straight.
Ava Roberson was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Emillia Andrews was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mackenzea Causey, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tri-Central lost 12-3 to Wes-Del on Friday. The Trojans have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Claire Conrad made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Eastern's record is now 7-9. As for Tri-Central, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastern hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .391. However, it's not like Tri-Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eastern was able to grind out a solid win over Tri-Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 8-5. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
