Redbank Valley had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Keystone on Wednesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 13-2. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Jaxon Huffman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Carson Gould was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylon Wagner, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Redbank Valley pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.
