It was a good run, but  the Mercer County Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a  66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anderson County. While losing is never fun, Mercer County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings  (they are ranked 80th, while the Bearcats are ranked 16th).
 Despite the loss, Mercer County still got an impressive performance from   Ak Drakeford, who  scored 32 points along with six  assists and three  steals. Drakeford hasn't dropped below 17 points for 17 straight games.  Izzie Carlton was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points along with six  rebounds and two  blocks.
 Mercer County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Anderson County, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Mercer County will take on the Colts at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Anderson County, they will head out on the road to  square off against  the Yellowjackets at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
