Beddingfield has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Spring Creek Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Beddingfield is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Spring Creek in North Carolina (Beddingfield is ranked 196th, while Spring Creek is ranked 417th).
Beddingfield started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Princeton. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 24-21.
Beddingfield's loss came about despite a quality game from Jamauris Howard, who picked up 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Howard's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Another player making a difference was Samuel Finch, who threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Spring Creek, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were the victim of a rough 29-6 loss at the hands of Goldsboro on Thursday.
Beddingfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Spring Creek, their loss was their 14th straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Beddingfield against Spring Creek when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 48-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beddingfield since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
