Mountain Crest is 1-6 against Box Elder since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bees at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mountain Crest will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Weber on Tuesday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 22-3 margin over the Warriors. With that victory, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Sage Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Emersyn Brown was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mountain Crest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 8.8.
Meanwhile, Box Elder put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Roy 17-2. The Bees' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Maycie Moss looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Kailee Hall was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Izibel Mason, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Box Elder's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Mountain Crest, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
